Gordon R. Findahl (1896-1958)

Thinking of Grandpa on his birthday, November 1, 1896

Here's an early photo of Grandpa Gordon Ralph Findahl. It looks like maybe a graduation picture. It would be from his home in Galesburg, IL. (ca.1914)

We're just not certain which home this photo was taken in or exactly when but have come to the conclusion it must have been in the Detroit area.

Virgil, Gordon's youngest brother, would follow him to the Detroit area from Galesburg and eventually settle on the East side of the city.  (mid 1920s)

Most likely this photo was taken at Belle Isle, a favorite place to go, by Gordon's new wife Martha (mid 1920s)

This is a photo at Gordon & Martha Findahl's home in Detroit. Father Nels and Mother Jessie were visiting from Galesburg, IL. (early 1930s)

Gordon loved to fish and hunt!  I could only wish that I'd been able to go along with him.
